Tom Olivieri, Co-Creative Director and Partner, The Creative Underground. What happens when you combine a career in Advertising with a degree in International Business? You get award-winning work for some of the largest corporations in America, including Verizon Wireless, Hyatt, La Quinta and Bloomingdale’s. Tom’s path took him from production to account management to his true calling, creative service. By blending knowledge and experience with a passion for creativity, Tom is able to approach each project with a unique perspective. A self-proclaimed “Movie Guru,” Tom holds his B.S. in International Business from Florida Atlantic University. He’s also an independent filmmaker whose work has appeared in several festivals. Dan Gershenson, Co-Creative Director and Partner, The Creative Underground. Toward the end of his sophomore year in college, Dan was told he needed to declare a major if he wanted to graduate in four years. Luckily, he blurted out, “Advertising.” Since then, he’s developed concepts for a wide variety of clients, including State Farm, Citibank, Budweiser, Detroit Tigers, The Home Depot and more. Prior to founding The Creative Underground, Dan worked at several advertising agencies, including DDB Chicago, TMP Worldwide and Austin Knight. His work has been recognized by The One Club, ADDY Awards, New York Festivals and Telly Awards. Dan holds a B.A. in Advertising from Drake University. In addition to being an endless supporter of creativity, he is an endless supporter of his wife Linda, his dog Sarah, and the Chicago Cubs.
