Michael Mongillo is an award winning writer, producer, and director.  He is a published author of fiction and reviews and a repped filmmaker with several internationally distributed feature films, most notably the acclaimed mockumentary, “Being Michael Madsen.” Michael won Best Narrative Horror Feature film in 2001 at Shriekfest for "The Wind",in 2003 he had a finalist screenplay "Unseen", and in 2007 he took home Best Horror Feature Screenplay with "The Lost Girl"! 

 During his tenure as the Co-founder and Director of the regional New Haven Underground Film Festival, he conceived its rebranding and managed its growth as the international Maverick Movie Awards cooperative prior to its profitable sale.
