Bishop Erik D. Wise
Bishop Wise was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Started singing at a the age of 4 in church. Music has always been a major part of his life. He began recording gospel music at the age of 16.
Bishop Wise went to College in Houston, Texas and Jackson, Mississippi and holds degrees in Theology and Music.
He is the Director and Founder of the World Missions Department of the Affirming Pentecostal Church International. Since its inception in December 2010, the international affirming ministry of the APCI has gone from one initial international work in Wales to dozens of works in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Portugal, Wales, Great Britian, Venezuela, South Africa, St. Croix, Argentina, Cuba, Peru, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Pakistan, Uruguay, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Columbia, Brazil, Ecuador and Guatemala. The near future promises to show new works beginning in Senegal, Ethiopia, Malawi, Ivory Coast, Montenegro, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Haiti.
The past 24 years have been spent in the Chicago area preaching, writing, singing and producing music. He has recorded five Gospel Choir projects and three solo projects. Erik has been privileged to perform for Vice-President Al Gore in Chicago, Isle de Notre Dame for the Montreal Jazz Festival, The Chicago Gospel Festival, House of Blues (Chicago, Atlanta, NYC, Orlando & West Hollywood), Ground Zero in NYC, Atlanta Olympics, Kingston, Jamaica and throughout Africa.
Bishop is happily married to his husband, Pastor Kelsey Swope-Wise. Together they make up the ministry team of Bishop Erik & Pastor Kelsey Swope-Wise.
