Live from the 303!  

Tonight was a good show!  You can listen in here.  I talked about right and wrong in America…and how we’ve really gone backwards in a a plethora of areas.  Culture, parenting and people as a whole have been enabling dysfunction for quite some time and now we’re seeing the ugly results rear their heads as we can only shake our heads, regretting where we’ve found ourselves.

The revolution towards thick skin and responsibility begins now.  It probably won’t be televised (unless it serves the betterment of the media and The Unholy Ratings, aka TUR) and will take forever to get off the ground cause we’re all overweight, lazy and indifferent.

That came out a little harsh.  But I think I meant it.  People, wake up.  Parents, get your heads out of the sand.  America, we’re at a crossroads.  The moment is at hand.  Will you stop being such cowards and letting words affect you and become someone who doesn’t give power to stupid people?

Can you move beyond the small little self centered world you think exists and see the big picture and the effect all of this coddling and lukewarm indifferent attitude?

Will you America?  It’s time to stand up.  It’s time to look to your friend next to you and raise your hands up.

It’s time to change the Titanic’s future.  Let’s get to work. And if you’re not down with that, I got four words for ya.

“Deal with it, America!”

Aaron, Scott take on religious topics far and wide.

Scott opened the show with the story of how he ended up in Cali doing work for HollywoodJesus.com.  He talked of his interviews, interesting quotes and moments of revealing about Christian artists and the music they write.  Scott and I spoke about what challenges Christian artists experience and how you decide what you’re really going to be.  Scott laid it out with some examples of old school and new school bands.

I also talked about how stale the music can be sometimes and how the good ole’ days of Newboys, DC Talk and Audio A’ have seemingly vanished and Scott hit back to say the music is pretty sad in the quality…but that it’s getting better.  I agreed.

I bemoaned the lack of good rockin’ soul music and the sad traffic of break out bands that fade and come in and out with the times.  I personally think the Christian Music world is not based on money but more on service to God and making good music.  The environment isn’t really setup to let the creative juices marinate.

Scott broke it down inch by inch for us and brought some examples into the mix for us as we theorized about how the world outside Christian Music makes their money (cursing, money, sex, etc) and how those within do it through good lyrics and a positive message.

We also broke out the Father’s day thoughts and Scott waxed poetic about things of the fatherly nature and how faith has played a roll in fathers.  I talked about my father and ended up calling the show early because I was crying so that’s gotta say something about how I feel about my father and all he’s done.

Well, Scott and I had a grand ole’ time.  We started with talking about last weeks interview with John Bootie and what we thought of the guy.  Scott was far kinder than I was.  Do you think he has a chance?  Comment below!

Also, we did the “Last Word” on Ron Paul (using this story here as a background). I believe Mr. Paul needs to go head over heels to the Dems and we both agreed he didn’t belong in the GOP.  We started talking about his connections to the 9-11 Truthers and I condemned him and voiced that I had lost respect.  Scott was a little kinder to the man as we moved into the 9-11 Truthers area.  Scott and I broke ranks on the whole “Loose Change” Docu-Do Doo for an interesting discussion.  I think they’re a bunch of idiots to be honest but Scott hadn’t heard of them so I gave him a lesson and we agreed to disagree on a few things.

Israel and The Palestine issue then took center stage as Scott seemed to say we needed to get out and run like the wind beneath our wings while I cautioned that and put my flag out for Israel.  What do you think we need to do right now?  Run?  Help?  Bomb?
