  • Claim Your Power: Express Your Truth!

    in Self Help

Today, Dr. Pearlette J. Ramos and the talented therapist and yoga instructor, Raj Chehl, will help you claim greater access to your power!
We are each so very powerful-yet too often we walk around feeling like we are at the effect of social, economic, political, and familial circumstances.  The truth is, we were each born with unlimited potential for growth!  Unfortunately, life experiences and the pressure to confirm has discouraged many of us from claiming our power, expressing our uniqueness, and manifesting our dreams.  Mahatma Gandhi once said, “Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment.”  When we love ourselves enough to express our passion and be true to our heart’s desire, we not only live from a place of inner power-but we create greater joy for ourselves and those in the world around us!
Join us for a discussion of what it truly means to be powerful.  You won’t want to miss this show.

  • CUTV News Radio spotlights Carol Koziol of Natural Courage

    in Self Help

London, Ontario – We all seek the courage to strive through change, but if you can believe and act on what’s in your heart, courage comes naturally.
Carol Koziol is a self-described “courage coach” and the founder of Natural Courage, where she serves as a guide  to help people experiencing change by naturally reconnecting their inner and outer world. Carol says she likes to work with people who are ready to turn their bucket lists into highlight reels.
“I reconnect people to their courage,” says Carol. “Everyone has natural courage so it’s about becoming aware of it by remembering our strengths, our values.”
According to Carol, there’s great wisdom in the cycles of nature and how people feel and respond to nature. A conversation over a desk is one thing; a walk on a path can produce totally different results. Carol is deeply passionate about the natural environment and will often weave nature into the work both as a metaphor and a modality.
“I used nature as a metaphor to catalyze change within me,” says Carol. “We come from nature. There’s no stress. There’s no intensity. It’s softer. It’s gentler. It’s what I’ve experienced and catalyzed and use with my clients.”
Carol is currently pursuing a PhD in ecopsychology, which studies the relationship between people and nature.
“The longest journey a person gets to make is the 18 inches from their head to their heart,” says Carol. “I often wonder if more people were encouraged to get out of their heads and find the courage to reconnect to their hearts, perhaps we would live in a better world.”

  • CUTV News Radio spotlights Schelli Whitehouse and Lisa Murrell of Equine Alchemy

    in Self Help

Raleigh, NC – It’s been said there’s something about the outside of a horse that’s good for the inside of a person. Indeed, horses can serve as a mirror, reflecting our attitudes, intentions and emotions, teaching us truths about ourselves we may not have been previously aware of.
Schelli Whitehouse and Lisa Murrell are partners in coaching, leadership development and training through the way of the horse. Their company, Equine Alchemy, specializes in “turning human potential in gold” through a process of Equine Assisted Coaching and coach certification training.
“We want to empower as many people as we can in learning how to facilitate this work,” says Schelli. “Whether they use it in their coaching practice or not, when they go through the training they can’t but help but be infused with the wisdom of the horse.”
As people we’re often very conflicted; we think one way but behave in another. Horses, by contrast, perceive the world energetically and respond through intention. By inviting the horse into the coaching process, we can see if a person is in alignment simply by the horse’s behavior. When our behavior is aligned with our heart and feelings, the horse responds to that consistency and they’re more likely to follow our lead.
“I was a great coach but I don’t believe I became a masterful coach until after I began working with horses,” says Lisa. “They are the best teacher of coaching because you enter a different dimension with them. I’m never as balanced as when I am around horses.”
