  • Lets Go Rangers!!!

    in Rock Music

The Rangers are in the middle of their Play-off series against the Penguins and its been a tugher than expected series so far. The Islanders series against the Capitals has also been hard fought and the Islanders wona dramatice OT game Sunday to go up 2 games to 1. We will talk about these series and the rest of NHL play-offs as well.
The Mets are red hot and look like they could be on their way to being the best team in the league. Its early but their pitching has been even better than expected and have played reasonbly well on defense.
AROD, the best player in baseball? Well at least the player on the Yankees. Who would have thought that before spring training. I think ,most people would have thought he would have had a difficult time breaking into the lineup regularly much less having to play as much as he has. The Yankees pitching has been better, but is it a mirage based on their opponents or are they just rounding into shape? Great Question. Lets Discuus it
And finally, While we are 1 week away from the NFL draft and I swore I would stay from NFL topics, I could not resist discussing the Eagles signing another QB and of course its the immortal Tim Tebow. I think Chip Kelly is Smarter than us all,
Plenty of Music News as well so tune in this Thursday Night at 6:30 pm EST to discuss these and any other topics on "Hard Rock n' Sports". Please tune to blogtalkradion.com

    Keep On RockN'!!!!

Lloyd Parks is an American R&B/soul singer born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is an original member of the Grammy-Nominated Philadelphia International Records group Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes.Lloyd is noted for his high tenor and falsetto vocal leads and harmonies. He is also a founding member of The Epsilons who backed Arthur Conley on his Atco Records hit single Sweet Soul Music. He is also the sole surviving original Blue Note.Parks started his career in music in the mid-1960s performing with various local Philadelphia vocal groups including the Emanons who hit with "One Heart" on "Phila Of Soul" Records. He later merged with friends Gene McFadden and John Whitehead to form the Epsilons. The group was managed by Soul Singer Otis Redding and were soon signed to the Stax Records label. They toured for two years with Redding and backed label mate Arthur Conley on his 1967 recording "Sweet Soul Music." The single reached No.2 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard R&B charts. The following year the Epsilons a quintet that included Allen Beatty and James Knight released "The Echo." The group disbanded following the tragic death of their mentor Otis Redding. Parks joined another local act The Broadway Express while McFadden and Whitehead reformed The Epsilons as the group Talk of The Town.

  • B Devine & Whyte Henny w/ Az 1 Promo Radio

B DEVINE BIO: B.DeVINE jokes that if Prince and Jill Scott could have created a love-child it would have been her! A singer since she could remember and a songwriter since she entered puberty, DeVINE found herself drawn to all types of music, from R&B to House and anything in between.
Armed with only an idea and ProTools, she decided to form her own genre of music, affectionately named etry, due to its infusion of intimacy-based spoken word with smooth melodies. To put it simply, it is Erotica set to music. Literoticism, another term coined by B.DeVINE, is the ability to create and/or heighten sexual pleasure through literature and sound.
WHYTE HENNY BIO: Jeremy May (born November 26, 1986) Known by his stage name WHYTE HENNY, is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer/rapper and composer. After receiving his first guitar at the tender age of 5, WHYTE HENNY realized his life’s calling. After years of practice and patience WHYTE HENNY was afforded the opportunity of a lifetime. His first live performance came while opening for his dad’s band (“What's Up”/ Imago Records) in front of a sellout crowd at the age of 10. After seeing his son perform, Henny’s dad realized his son’s undeniable talent.
With a new sound, WHYTE HENNY is now in the process of recording his debut EP album entitled “TRAPPMETAL” and two mix-tapes “A SHOT-OF-HENNY” and “HENNY ON-THE-ROCK”, all slated for early January 2015 releases. Lending their production talents to both projects are the 5x Grammy Award Winning Multi-Platinum producers The Newton Twins (“Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”) and “The Specialist” the Multi-Platinum Grammy nominated producer for Pink’s (“Can’t Take Home).
