Gloria’s One Dish Recipes includes basics such as skinning, and deboning a whole chicken to using proteins, grains, and seasonings when cooking. Some of her uniquely delicious, super healthy recipes include under-used veggies such as okra; purple potatoes, cauliflower, romanesco, chard, cabbage and kohlrabi just to name a few. Kamil first entered the spotlight in 2000 when she became recognized and revered as a health and fitness guru in her Oakland, California community. Her neighbors watched her run (not jog) faithfully every day, rain or shine. Soon more and more people began hearing about Kamil and seeking her out for advice.
Kamil has 40 years experience in whole food nutrition in maintaining the health of the body and fitness and in 1998 founded Total Fitness Transformation, a holistic nutrition and fitness company that goes beyond the traditional approach to weight control and nutrition by addressing the whole person. For the past 16 years, she has worked exclusively as a holistic, whole food nutrition professional, fitness expert and consultant and lifestyle-change coach. “Only by beginning with the Spirit can one proceed to create better health in the mind and body” Kamil states.
