Author Sherrie Cotton introduces us to her book, For Love or Money. Patricia was from a middle-class suburban family; her parents struggled to put her through college, yet she became a M.D. She dated insufficient men, lowering her standards, but soon she got tired of dating broke men. She met a handsome gentleman named Michael, a successful established Lawyer, with money. And he lavished her with all kinds of gifts, and he gave her the world! Yolanda, Patricia’s best friend was a jealous, lowdown, woman that despised what Patricia had. So, she crossed the line by coming on to one of them, and trying to destroy their relationship and careers. Did she succeed? Did Yolanda want Michael for herself or did she want Patricia? See how their friendship affected and infected the whole family with lies, greed, promiscuity, lust, greed, sexuality and even suicide…even future generations! Join us for a very wonderful conversation about this book, the author's inspirations, and much more!

SEXLESS in The City, Part 2 (Preparing Your Soul and Finding Ways to Abstain). We will discuss why its important to abstain, as we continue our series for Christian singles, and from a spiritual perspective. We will discuss sexual purity tips as well as how to prepare your mind as you make necessary changes to allow God to prepare you in your new steps. Is masturbating a form of abstinence or a sin? How can you date and still do god’s will? What is considered ‘pure’ ways of young Christians? Is it possible for someone who has sinned before to be redeemed through abstinence? How can you keep your thoughts pure and clear of lust’s grasp? We’ll take these and more. Bold authoress Shellie Warren, who wrote the book Lessons of Love, Lust and Redemption will share her thoughts with us as we discuss these very important issues for Christian singles.

What Did We Learn - The Rage Within (Stalking Show)

    What did we learn...

    on 11.26 we discussed stalking.

Now, there's physical stalking and there's virtually stalking someone. Both ways are indications of being rejected by someone. Men and women both stalk, though DRock, Jeff Ask and Mia felt that more women were prone to stalking where I felt that both men and women equally pursue this as a vehicle to express their emotions.

    Red flags discussed were:

The stalker emails, phones or physically shows their desire. In other words, if you are stalking someone you consistently call, email or try to insert your presence on the person in question. The stalker (in their mind) do not see the problem. The stalkee sometimes does not know how to respond. Men particularly do not want to deal with it. Most women will call the police or file papers to get restraining orders, etc. Each person in the situation will have to think what is best for themselves.

Drock said that most women do pursue police immediately and that men must be careful about response, since some women will show up at a place of employment, or damage personal property of the stalkee (most men car's are vulnerable in this scenario).

Great points by other hosts (Mia, JeffAsk, and our guest Sherry) pointed out that each person has their own situation to overcome.

Women should be careful who they let in their personal space; must arm themselves with a few tools -- make sure when going out with strangers or online potential interests with a backup plan to include (a public meeting, not one in your home). If you are meeting someone in your home, make sure you feel totally comfortable with them, and have cleared them by doing a lot of questioning before hand. Know their status (married, single, seperated, etc.).

We discussed that lack of love, self -esteem, and self-worth positions a lot of women and some men with becoming a victim of stalkers. Stalkers always look for opportunities to insert themselves so be very wary and careful of who you allow to come into your space.

We will pick up on the virtual stalking of children in January so come back and vibe with us then about that.

Next week: Open Relationships! See you on Wednesday.

The Rage Within. Talk to Me discusses those who stalk. What are red flags that someone is in an unhealthy state of mind. What should a man or woman do when they are stalked? Is there a difference between being virtually stalked or stalked in person? What are safe ways women can get away from stalkers and protect themselves? What ways should a man protect himself so he wont end up getting in trouble legally with a stalker? Is the system rigged for women to believed more than men. Come talk with us and discuss this hot topic.

What Did We Learn -- Unhealthy Relationships Wrap UP!

So what did we learn today about "unhealthy relationships"

    People need to:
    be accountable
    know themselves
be honest about what works and don't
do not put unnecessary stress on another person
    be HONEST!
    be truthful to self
do not bring bags and bags of bad vibes, unrealistic expectations, etc.

    People should:
    be real
    be honest
go back to courting each other
    being friends FIRST!
ladies, don't give up the booty so quickly
    Understand themselves
INVEST in emotional, physical and spirituality of their own selves

    Understand that:
it's not the other person's fault all the time
    relationships have a shelf life
if you started off in an unhealthy way, the relationship may end the same way
everyone doesn't know what you feel if you don't say it, stop living in your heads

    Ladies:
Talk to the man about your needs and concerns; be willing to work hard in the relationship, don't make the man -- at fault...you can leave the relationship anytime, stop waiting for him to end it.

    Men:
Don't be afraid to be honest, real; don't be mad if she doesn't give up the booty soon; understand that she may have weaknesses, don't always try to use them against her or be a player. If you really care about her, show her. If you feel it's time to end the relationship, talk about it. Understand that it is not always going to be easy to end.

    Lastly,
enjoy your relationship; even if it ends, at least find one positive part of it. You did find some enjoyment from that partnership, for however short or long it was.

Take the learned lessons into your next relationship: but don't bring the baggage (if you can).
