Unforgiveness
By Starlette Edwards
Forgiving someone is a difficult thing to do when you have been hurt either by someone you love or someone you don't know or love. There have been many times in my life that I have been hurt. Hurt by a family member, friend, co-worker, preacher and even a stranger. How can we get past this and get a heart to forgive those who have caused us so much pain, humiliation and bitterness? How is being unforgiving affecting your health and your entire being? Is it causing you depression, negative outlook on life, uncontrollable thoughts and actions, is it causing your body to become sicker and sicker as each day passes. As you read this article, ponder on an experience or experiences in your life that have caused you pain and you can't place it in your heart to forgive that person or persons. Do you want to let go and live with a forgiving spirit. No one can do this but you. What will happen if you die today with that unforgiving spirit, how much of your life are you truly enjoying because you won't let it go, how many days of depression, because you won't let it go, how many nights of sleeplessness, because you won't let it go, how many days full of angry tears that have erased so many blessed years, because you won't let it go, how many more minutes of sadness, grief and resentment will you allow to control your life;control rather your life will be filled with joy or filled with everlasting pain. Now think on these things…. to let it go! Give yourself the life you deserve that is filled with love and peace.
