Linking the significance of grief & loss along with depression. I will quote from the DSM-5 regarding symptomology of PTSD while bringing forth some concrete examples of what the criterions for diagnosis looks like. Individualizing treatment is key for PTSD because the trauma experienced is unique to that individual. Being aware of these symptoms can help provide support to those afflicted by PTSD. Ongoing conversation that is complex because of the possibility of triggering the shocking & disturbing experience for that individual. Awareness is key, connection and follow up. Touching on Depression, Anxiety, and assessment of mental health, providing resources.
