...the darkness of DENIAL into the light of Acceptannce and ultimately RECOVERY.. Please remember that RECOVERY IS NO ACCIDENT but a commitment to wanting more out of life and becoming willing to do whatever it takes to get it and keep it.
Tonights Guest DEAN - a Friend that I have known for years, many years - shared some of his history and EXPERIENCE - STRENGTH - and HOPE - having an addiction to pain medication - OPIATES in particular... however he has managed to stay away from alcohol for over 15 years. KUDOS for that!
Being in Recovery varies from person to person - individual to individual. There is NO PERFECT WAY to live Life SOBER - but there are many people who have managed to keep CLEAN & SOBER from the DRUG OF CHOICE by working various programs in their lives on a DAILY basis - INCLUDING ME! 22 years, 9 months and 10 days today! Join us next week as CHERIE returns to continue sharing her own personal story of recovery and some of the struggles she has faced and still faces in her attempt to live her life SOBER.
