On this show, Marie interviews people from the business and nonprofit sectors as well as others who involve themselves in unique contributions to their communities.
This week’s show celebrates the start of summer with the subjects of wine and music from locally grown sources. I will welcome Christine Anderson-Heller, media and marketing representative from Lynfred Winery in Roselle. She will give listeners some history about the winery and its late founder Fred Koehler and well as the many wines it produces. The winery, founded in 1979, is known for its tasting events as well as its reputation of being a bed and breakfast destination. She will also suggest wines for summer parties and barbecues.
I will have a special guest for the second half of the show. I am honored to have Nick Pullia, Director of Communications for Ravinia Festival, a nonprofit organization which is one of the artistic jewels of Chicago’s North Shore. Ravinia, which opened its doors in 1904, kicks off its 2013 summer season today, and Nick will give a backstage look on the many concerts and special events the park will have.
