This week’s show will review the very basics to getting started in/on your very own journey into sobriety.
"WE ADMITTED WE WERE POWERLESS OVER ___(insert your addiction here)___ AND THAT OUR LIVES HAD BECOME UNMANAGEABLE)...
Why is doing something so simple - at times so daunting & difficult to accomplish? We'll discuss & explore various opinions & suggestions that hold us back from finding our path in life without the aid or crutch of any debilitating addictions. Can't afford a treatment center? I couldn't either - thus my journey is personal & real to me, waging my life / social status / finances / morality / spirituality on getting & STAYING SOBER. It is a Battle that is ongoing - yet because I have chosen to take active, continuous, preventive / take charge steps - I rarely have to fight the urge to Drink. I have managed to keep the battlefield temporarily silenced - yet one I occasionally tussle with - in my mind & not in the bottle. Join me and share your own EXPERIENCE/S - STRENGTH/S and HOPE/S for a continuing addiction free life. There is NO BETTER CURE than actively sharing of one's self to another. I created this broadcast, this relaxed / casual / less than perfect opportunity "THE ROAD TO RECOVERY" Podcast, to help myself & others without hiding any longer behind the veil of ANONYMITY unless you/they choose to. I often wonder what my life would have been-had I found this program sooner in my life. Therefore, I don't want anyone to needlessly go through the same struggles/ issues/consequences I did unless they choose to. It's all about choices people. Let's help each other start/continue to make better choices in our lives. It is what our "HIGHER POWER" wants for us. May you find Peace and Serenity in your daily lives NOW & ALWAYS. Just make "THE ROAD TO RECOVERY" YOUR Road to Recovery. It works IF YOU WORK IT!
