If we are to understand how to coach leaders to be “emotionally intelligent” we need first to understand the characteristics of leaders who display emotional intelligence. As part of our conversation, Jackie will share those characteristics with us and why emotional intelligence is an integral part of effective leadership. Jackie Arnold is an ICF executive coach who has worked on leadership coaching programs in both the public and private sectors for the past ten years. Before that, she set up three language schools in Switzerland, Italy, Poland and the UK. She was a BBC radio broadcaster in the eighties. She has a niche in coaching leaders to use their voices effectively at conferences, events and meetings. As an author, Jackie has written three books: “Raise Your Glasses Please” 2007 Short speeches for weddings and events “Speaking on Special Occasions” 2008 Speech planning preparation and production for any event – both social and business “Coaching for Leaders in the Workplace” 2009 Practical ways to create a coaching culture in organizations and to motivate and support staff in times of change.
