Film Festival Radio host Janice Malone delves into the budding career of Marcus Paulk, who plays David 'Deke' Watkins in George Lucas' WWII flick Red Tails, which tells the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African American military aviators in US history. "We shot this film in Prague, Czech Republic, for about three and a half months. The day after we got there, after one night of sleep, we hopped in a van at the crack of dawn and went to boot camp for about a week and a half—military training, marching, nine-mile hikes in the mud with packs on, building tents blindfolded," says the Moesha cast member. "Working with George Lucas, you could only expect that it was going to be intense. So we didn't know exactly what to expect. But we got to go up in a P-51 fighter plane before we actually shot the film. When I did that it was like, Wow this is something I've never had to do for a role. It was better than any roller-coaster you've ever been on."
