Black Authors Network host Ella Curry chats with Jacqueline Luckett about her sophomore novel, Passing Love, set in modern-day and '50s Paris, and telling the story of  two women, Rudy and Nicole, dealing with lost love, secrets and betrayal. Here she explains her setting: "Last year I went back to Paris for a few days really excited. I was like, 'Oh, my goodness. This is exactly where they walked!'" she says. "So I'm hoping that that enthusiasm that I have to do some fact-checking on Passing Love. And as I walked some of these streets that I've got both Rudy and Nicole walking, I got about Paris—I want people to go to Paris and experience it. But more important, if there's a place—and it doesn't matter if it's Paris or The Bahamas or New York—if there's a place where my readers want to go, I want them to go, and not wait as long as Nicole did to fulfill her dream of going to Paris."
