Nine Lives - Life And Business Lessons From A Cat

When you think of cats, you think of nine lives, funny videos on Youtube, and maybe even that show on broadway that's been running since the dawn of time. But have you ever thought a cat could give you lessons in life or business?

You see, our cat Toby, (At least we think that's his name, even though he never told us) has some issues to say the lease, but since he's not here to defend himself, we'll just call him special. 

He came to live with us via an animal shelter in Southern California back in 1999, you know, the days of "You Got Mail" and having to chose between missing a call or going online. :)

Anyway...

Like I said, he was a rescue cat, who was afraid of his own shadow. And though he was not the most social cat ever, after a few months he seemed to settle in just fine.

Fast forward to 2013, we move to Mesa, AZ as part of our life by design, and like the energizer bunny, Toby is still going, in all his cat glory,  idiosyncrasies intact.

At first, he was everywhere, I mean he gave this entire house the once over twice, leading us to believe he had finally broke our of his shell.

But, after being in the house for about a year now, I noticed that Toby had settled into distinctive daily pattern.  And as I thought about it more, this pattern went all the way back to our home in New Mexico (7 Years), and that's when his lesson hit me.
