Opportunities knock, but sometimes the door opens slowly. Every athlete needs support. When new wife and bobsled superstar Elana Meyer–Taylor (1 silver; 1 bronze medal) wanted to become the first woman to pilot a four-man bobsled at the USA National Championships, she could not find a single man to sign up for the ride.
However, she had an ace in the hole. She knew who would do it. She made the call to husband Nic Taylor, a great bobsledder in his own right, and now a skeleton driver, who eagerly accepted to be the brakeman on his wife’s quest.
They picked up two more athletes and Elana drove into bobsled history besting all but two men's teams.
How did they do it? What lessons can we learn from Nic and Elana to pilot our own lives? Tune in 9-11am EST to hear this incredible journey.
