Emily Heger serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Akola Project with a passion for stewarding the organization to achieve Akola’s high-impact mission and vision globally. In 2014, Emily participated in the Praxis Accelerator Nonprofit Fellowship Program, winning the grand finale event at The Gathering. She also serves on the West Dallas Jobs Initiative Committee with a hope of creating the same sustainable economic development domestically as Akola has accomplished internationally.   Before coming to Akola, Emily started her career as a Marketing Director with Chick-fil-A and then as a strategic lead at The Richards Group for clients totaling $12 million in annual media billings. Throughout those roles, she invested her skills and experience to serve Noonday Collecting during its infancy and TivaWater to expand it’s reach to Northern Uganda. She holds a B.S. of Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin.
