Our guests is Rick Tingling-Clemmons. "As a 65-year-old retired adult educator and a community and social justice activist, I offer these words as a Vietnam-era veteran who lived in Japan for nearly five years and saw first hand the futility of war and the truth of the question posed in one of our songs, “War, what is it good for? Absolutely Nothing!”
I attended at least five World Conferences in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in the past; I continue to work here in the U.S. in opposition to war and all of its weapons, speaking out against the dropping of the bombs on Japan with its racist overtones and its resultant devastation and suffering it wrought; as I work to solve the human needs problems faced by millions around the world by giving people what they need – and war is NOT one of them."
PEACE TALKS inspires conversations that embrace a consciousness of an evolved humanity. The Trail of Dreams World Peace Walkers have walked around the world to promote peace and global transformation, people to people--heart to heart.
