Michigan, the first state to proceed with Emergency Managers with the passing of PA 4 under Tea Bagger Governor, Rick Synder. This legislation is not designed to help cities and towns to get back on track due to financial hardship, but actually seem to utilize this legislation to turn a democracy into a dictatorship, stripping City Councils, selling off assets and fulfill their agenda of the corporatization of America.
Benton Harbor with a slight population over 10,000 citizens has had their publicly owned; given to the city as a gift earlier in the century to be used only for the purpose of a park for families, children and the residents of Benton Harbor , dared to foil the plans of the Whirlpool Corporation's plans to build a golf course on this jewel of a park. Before one can even blink, Benton Harbor is under the rule of an Emergency Manager, Joe Harris.
