Today we'll discuss the links between Americas role reversal from our own war for independence and our 19th-20th century bloody involvement in the Philippines and the subtler resurgence of imperialism we see today.

I'll tell you about myself, my show and what I plan to do each episode. Then I'll run through a quick synopsis of the last millenium of world history as a starting point.
