Pedantic proles seek a nominee who ‘represents the values’ of the Party the more involved seek a champion of the Constitution and some desire a new high priest of man-made religions which mock God. Campaigns are about managing perceptions, not democratically electing people to office. In Congress, there are no votes, merely procedures to maintain 'emergency' tyranny.
