We were made to be free, but we usually prefer to build our own prisons and blame someone else for it. No one owes you liberty. You have to fight for it, defend it and use it for good.
Sadly most Americans don’t and the ones who do, aren’t willing to do much about it. The governments are still here, but the law is ignored. States are merely adjuncts of the federal bureaucracy. Citizens are reduced to debt-slaves with an opportunity to select their rulers every now and then. So long as we are willing to go along to get along, enjoy our frivolous distractions and pretend that liberty is generated below the waist, then we are happy little servants enjoying a mediocre existence. A famous Virginian once said, “give me liberty, or give me death.” Do we agree or will we mumble, “give me free crap so I don’t have to take responsibility?"
Either you believe in liberty or you don’t. It doesn’t matter if you actively seek to thwart liberty or merely watch it die, the result is the same. Stop fighting with each other about whether we need to be more libertarian or more conservative – the fact is when we have lost our culture of liberty, we are neither conservative nor libertarian, we are merely serfs in the mediocre service of oligarchs.
Dare you say with Patrick Henry, “give me liberty or give me death?”
Tyranny is assured UNLESS liberty-loving people can set aside their differences and band together against the rising tide of collectivism. Conservatives and libertarians MUST work together to ensure the restoration of constitutionally limited government – it is up to you. End the imperialist police state-to defeat the Democrat-Socialists, first you MUST CRUSH the RINOs, for liberty!
