This premiere episode of LFNC BlogTalkRadio features a youth panel composed of individuals affected by lupus. Guests discuss their experiences of being diagnosed at a young age, their fears and challenges, the support they receive from friends and family, their hope for the future and that of other young people with lupus. Lupus significantly affects women of childbearing years 15-45, as well as communities of color. Listeners will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists or may email their questions in advance to executive@lfnc.org. The show will be recorded and an audio file will be posted on at www.lfnc.org for downloading as a podcast at a later time. GUEST PANELISTS: Julie Nguyen, diagnosed at 16; Micki Cabral, diagnosed at 16; and Jessie Smith, diagnosed at 20.
