When Is It OK To Control Others?

Today on HELP! Relationships 102, we ask the very important question of when is it OK to control other? As a parent am I supposed to let my kids run over me and not take control of them when they misbehave? How about as a manager or boss? Am I not supposed to exercise my authority over my wayward employees at my place of business? What about if I am a Sargent in the military who's job is to keep control over his troops? For that matter, what about keeping control of my spouse, when I feel I need to make sure they don't use my kindness against me to take advantage of me?
