The Bible also tells us to be careful how we treat people  because we may "entertain angels unaware"(Hebrews 13:2). Now the Generosity part comes in from kindness. Sometimes when you are kind to someone, it causes you to give. The Bible says in Proverbs 22:9 that "the generous will themselves be blessed, for they share thier food with the poor"  (NIV) .
