At our age, we have to strive to be like Jesus. The Bible tells us that in order to be like him, we must love and obey HIM. We have to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow HIM. At the direction our world is headed in, the only one who can save us is JESUS. HE gave his life for us so striving to be like him is the very least we can do.
