Ana Cedeno has been a Professor of Literature and Communication Studies at the Sixth Form Government School as well as the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT). She has been teaching for a total of 14 years. She is a Graduate of the University of the West Indies (Upper Second Class Honours) at the Trinidad and Tobago Campus and she completed her Master’s in Education. Ms. Cedeno is 38. She was born in Venezuela but raised in Trinidad, so she speaks two languages. Ms. Cedeno understands what it is like to be a child of two worlds. She openly supports Interracial Marriage. She has also done courses in Counseling for Adolescents therefore she is also interested in Social issues that affect teenagers. She says that counseling has become an integral part of her educating many teen students; hence, she also supports the NWNW initiative in order to make students aware of the importance of good choices. Ms. Cedeno is a Survivor of Sickle Cell Disease and she has made it part of her life's mission to educate others about the misconceptions regarding Sickle Cell. Ms. Cedeno is not yet married and has no children of her own yet; she is a mother to her many students. Her interests include travel and languages as she has done exchanges to Norway and Tokyo. She is also interested in film, reading and generally experiencing life.
