It is easy to tell someone to leave an abusive relationship but it's so much more than just simply walking away. Once you do leave, you have to make a decision and learn how  to trust yourself to make the right decisions after years of sexual, physical and/or emotional abuse. There is no magic formula that works for everyone.  It takes great strength and perseverance to rise above life's challenges and choose life once again. Our guest this week, Denver Beaulieu-Hains (Bow-Yeh- Hains), a survivor of both sexual abuse and domestic violence, has walked down this painful path.

In her first book collaboration, "Decisive Women: Designing Decisions in 5 Minutes or Less", Denver shares her process for moving beyond domestic violence into a life full of promise and opportunity.  Her abuse started before she was five years old creating a cycle that would carry on into adulthood. Despite the challenges she faced and feeling like a failure at times Denver persevered to become a successful writer, speaker and public relations professional. She has served more than 20 years working as a spokesperson, media consultant and planner for the Department of Defense and the federal government.

What does it take to change your thinking about how you deserve to be treated and who you are as a person?  Tune in as Denver shares the why behind her desire to live and thrive with dignity and repsect, the daily challenges she still faces and how she chooses everyday to be a decisive woman who rises above the storm.
