"SHOULD FAMILY SUPPORT FAMILY BY DEFAULT?"

I was recently in a debate over the expectations of  family supporting one another and in this debate it was conveyed to me that every relationship is different. That difference will then alter the dynamics and dictate where things will go between each respective party. While I understand that notion, I do feel that the unconditional support of family should be by default and not with any conditions attached.  Also, let's be clear that there are many ways to express support.......
