The Film Nuts was tragically passed over at the Acadamy Awards, but the reasons I shall not discuss right here--still the movie illuminated so many aspects of the Mental Health field, mostly negative which is why competent well trained professionals are so important. The performances in this movie are amazing by incredible actors.  The psychological effects of people who are mentally ill are far-reaching.  This movies deals with child abuse, power-hungry unethical professionals, mysogynistic and violent persons that are allowed to walk amongst us making life that much more difficult.  We see the effects of women who sacrifice their children for the sake of financial security.  Being difficult or using foul or lascivious language doesn't make a person mentally ill.  The only way for society to truly understand mental health issues is to talk about them and support the use of our professional services so we relief and recovery can take place in all our lives.  We all know someone dealing with mental health issues even if we choose to deny it.  Join us for a strong look at mental health in society and let's discuss way to make this world better for all of us, because we all need someone to talk to, even therapists!
