    Who do you love?

    It is easy to let yourself get stuck in the trap of trying to fulfill the needs of others above and beyond your ability. I see it all the time, in both males and females (despite the stereotypes). Some people try to give and give, and never take the time to replenish their own well.

    The problem is that kind of imbalance can cause all kinds of issues- Stress of that sort can lead to high blood pressure and depression, or it can lead to the kind of sugar cravings that Richele Henry was talking about in tonight's show. (Which can lead to all sorts of other issues.)

    As Valentines Day approaches and we consider doing something lovey for someone we care about- consider taking the time to do something lovey for yourself. Get a massage or get a good book. Go take a yoga class, or snuggle with a furry friend. Take some time to create some balance- because balance will be achieved- whether it is in a manner of your choosing or not.

    Chunky Monkey Smoothie Recipe
     
    1 cup homemade almond milk
    or
    1/2 cup coconut milk + 1/2 cup of water

    1 organic frozen banana

    2 tbsp raw cacao nibs or cacao powder (raw chocolate)

    Handful of organic nuts of choice (pecans, walnuts, almonds, etc)

    Add a dash of vanilla extract if you choose

    Blend until smooth
