Ilya Arbit, a political science and media studies undergraduate at CUNY Hunter College and former Edward R. Murrow High School morning announcements speaker joins Kwass and Jay for his fourth appearance to discuss Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's health care bill. Following this episode, Arbit with join the LD team as a weekly in-house reporter. After reclaiming their online presence, The Legal Docket banks its 7th episode hoping to have as much support as Senator Reid's bill has from the Democratic National Committee. This Docket discusses how Senator Reid will get the 60 votes necessary to get health care reform passed by attempting to get Republican support in the Senate. Speaking of supportability, Arbit and the hosts breakdown how complex the health care debate is in regards to the inclusion of a government or public option for national health insurance in comparison to what is currently more prevalent in private employers, as the government has said those options will still remain for Americans even after health care reform is passed.
