Prime Time Crime Time

What do we get and what can we learn from show trials? Right now we have Hernandez, Zimmerman, Bulger and a lot more in the works and everywhere in the news. When the judge allows, there are live trials. Plus, print and cable certainly devote tons of space and time to each accused criminal before, during and after a trial, even if there's acquittal. 

There's also the houding and shaming of non-criminals, like Paula Deen. 

The ;police and court, justice system is supposed to provide deterent, make evil doers pay for their crimes, and make us safer. We'll muse on it all
