Who knew that a cute cuddly little dog could be so complicated?  I'm talking about pugs and while they are cute and cuddly, they do have some issues that any prospective owner might want to consider. 

So what are the pug facts you should know?

Pugs are fun, loyal and easy to care for making them perfect pets.  They don’t need a lot of exercise so can be perfect for apartment dwellers.  They do, however require grooming and care as with any other pet.  Daily brushing is recommended to cut down on shedding.  Also be prepared to clean out the folds of skin on their face, clip their toe nails and brush their teeth.

Pugs also have a lot of health problems you need to consider.  Their short snouts make them susceptible to breathing problems and they can tend to overeat and become obese.  There are some genetic diseases like pug dog encephalitis that can be fatal.
