Therapeutic Deep Massage, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic, Pregnancy, Reflexology and Aromatherapy. It all started in 1997 when Wayne Bergloff had just retired from his full time job as a salesman of 48 years. His job paid well but satisfaction?…….well that’s another story. Then he decided to venture into unfamiliar territory as a massage therapist. It took him some time to digest the idea and finally he decided to enroll to a massage school. At first, he thought it was not for him. He could not imagine himself massaging other people’s bodies all day. So he was very skeptical about his new venture. But little did he know that he would like his new venture as massage therapist. The more he learned the more he liked it and after a while it became to be his passion in life to help others. He did research and learned what kind of natural health equipments or products in the market and purchased anything that could enhance his practice and help his patients at the same time. That’s how “Wayne’s Wellness all Inclusive Boutique Style Center and Massage Therapy was created. The Power of Forgiveness and the Benefits of Forgiveness

    Greeting everyone,

On my next radio talk show “Waves of Healing” on 2/9/10
at 3pm PST,  I will be interviewing Chris Bledy - author
of the book "Beating Ovarian Cancer". She will talk about
    all aspects of ovarian cancer.

    The Power of Forgiveness

The other day, I was talking with a girlfriend who is in a
process of getting divorced from her husband after 30 years
of marriage. After listening to her complaints for 30 minutes,
she declared, "I will never forgive him" for this, "I will
never forgive him" for that. Now, I can totally understand her frustration.

However, what I do not understand is: What is she trying to
accomplish, by declaring, "I will never forgive him. Is she
trying to punish him by holding grudges forever? If she wants
to hold grudges and not forgive him, whom is she hurting? She
is definitely not hurting him because he does not know
    anything about it.

So, who is really getting hurt if she does not forgive him?
Yes, you are right. She is hurting herself and only herself.

Many people think that to forgive someone is to say, "What
you did to me is OK. When we choose to forgive, we are simply
letting go of our end of the chain that keeps us enslaved to
the past and bound to that person and whatever happened. By
forgiving, we are taking our focus off a crippling vision of
what we do not want more of and replacing it with what we
    desire to create.

By choosing to forgive and respond with love rather than
fear--we free ourselves. We sweep away the years of built-up
sludge that jam up the channels through which abundance of
every kind flows, and we move more firmly into our power to
manifest that peaceful, prosperous world we want to live in.

Forgiving is something that a person does for himself and
    not for somebody else.

Some years ago, I had a serious upset with one of my family
members. The disagreement was so painful that my mind and
body went into a state of shock. I just could not get over
    it.

A couple of weeks later, I noticed that I was losing my hair.
I would find hair just about everywhere: in the shower, in
my bed, on the kitchen floor. Slowly, slowly I noticed that
my hair started thinning at the front of my scalp.

I knew that the reason I was losing my hair was the upset I
experienced with my family member. However, I did not know
what to do about it and was not ready to go bald, at least
    not yet!
I started panicking. I went to see a dermatologist who
prescribed Rogaine. Rogaine is some kind of liquid that you
put on the affected area and hope it will stop the thinning
    of the hair.

I used it couple of times, but I did not like the side effects.
My hair became coarse and turned to a grayish color. The last
time I used it, I got dizzy and almost passed out. That was the
    end of Rogaine for me.

I went to see another doctor who told me she did not have any
solution for my problem and advised me to "just get used to it
and accept it. She meant that I should accept the fact that I
    was getting bald.

Now, you know how important hair is for women. I was not ready
to live with a "bad hair day" "every day" for the remainder of
    my life.

At this point, I knew the problem was an emotional one that
manifested in the physical form. I had a moment of total
clarity and realized that I was concentrating on the fruits,
which are the results, instead of focusing on the roots that
created the results. I realized that I had to handle the
situation on an emotional level instead of on a physical level.

My spiritual adviser lived in Santa Barbara, so I drove up one
day and discussed my situation with her. She suggested doing
    this simple exercise--one of forgiving.

It is called the "Compassion Exercise. Let me explain how it
    is done.

I closed my eyes, put my attention on the person I needed to
    forgive, and repeated to myself:

Just like me, this person is seeking happiness in their life.

Just like me, this person has known sadness, loneliness, and
    despair.

Just like me, this person is trying to avoid suffering in
    their life.

Just like me, this person is learning about life.

While doing the exercise, I put myself in their shoes and felt
how they felt. Slowly I released the negative energy that was
affecting my mind and my body, and let it drain out of me to
    the universe.

By doing this exercise, I forgave the person and as a result,
    my hair loss stopped.

What do you think happened here? It had to do with forgiveness.
It had to do with giving up the negative energy.

If I kept holding grudges and had not forgiven this person,
I would be very bald by now.

I would like to leave you with a question to contemplate:

If I insisted on saying, "I will never forgive this person,
who do you think would still be suffering--the other person
    or me?
Here is a short exercise to do. Ask yourself the following
    questions:

    1. Against whom am I holding a grudge right now, today, this
moment? List as many as necessary!

    2. In what way does holding these grudges enhance my life and
    bring me peace?

    3. In what way may holding these grudges be restricting me?
(Joy and happiness, relationships, career, finances,
    self-esteem, stress, etc.)

    4. Am I going to continue paying these prices and placing my
attention on what I do NOT want more of in my life?
Alternatively, do I choose to MAKE PEACE?

While you are asking yourself these questions, feel free to
use the tools from the above "Compassion Exercise". Learn to
forgive yourself and other people who were involved in your
    situation.

Make a note to yourself. How did you feel after you released
the negative energy and forgave yourself and others?

    The Benefits of Forgiveness

"Forgive yourself for your faults and your mistakes and move on.
    --Les Brown-

Generally speaking, it is easier to forgive others than
forgiving ourselves for our own mistakes. The best way to
learn how to forgive yourself is to make a list of everything
that you think you did from minor mistakes to bigger mistakes.
Then use the above exercise of forgiving yourself.

You will be surprised how lighter you will feel afterwards.

The benefits of forgiveness are too numerous to mention.
However, here are some fundamental benefits:

    • Accelerated healing, both emotionally and physically
    • Relief from stiffness and chronic pains
    • Relief from depression and resentment
    • Increase in physical strength
    • Stress reduction
    • Immune system booster
    • Better digestion
    • More positive outlook
    • Increase awareness and intelligence
    • More energy, more control (physically and mentally)
    • Relief from self-sabotaging
    • More restful sleep
    • Longer life
    • Increased happiness
    • Faster reaction time
    • Friendlier, more tolerant
    • More successful
    • Ability to establish new relationships
    • Peace of mind
    • A NEW LIFE

Could you benefit from any of these? Of course, you could!
In addition, the pathway to getting these benefits is
    through forgiveness.

    With my unconditional love,

Tofu, Soy Diet Linked to Lower Death in Breast Cancer
    Survivors

    By Nicole Ostrow

Dec. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Breast cancer survivors in China who
ate tofu, soy milk and fresh beans as part of a diet rich
in soy protein had a lower risk of dying and less chance
their cancer would return, a study found.

Those who ate the most soy protein had a 29 percent lower
risk of dying and a 32 percent lower rate of their breast
cancer returning than those who had the lowest intake of
soy, research showed today in the Journal of the American
Medical Association. The foods included in the study were
tofu, soy milk and fresh soy beans, all common choices in
    Asian meals.

The study, which followed women for an average of about
four years, is the largest to examine the influence of soy
intake on breast cancer survival and recurrence, the authors
said. More than 192,000 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed
with breast cancer this year, according to the National
    Cancer Institute.

“Women with breast cancer can be assured that consumption of
moderate amounts of soy food is safe and may be associated
with better outcomes,” said the study’s lead author Xiao-Ou
Shu, a professor of medicine at Vanderbilt University in
Nashville, Tennessee, in a Dec. 4 e-mail. The researchers
will follow the women to watch “the long-term effects of soy
food intake on health among breast cancer survivors,
including bone density, fracture and coronary heart disease,”
    she said.

    Rich in Isoflavones

Soy foods are rich in isoflavones, which are estrogen-like
compounds that occur naturally in plant foods. Soy isoflavones
may compete with the body’s estrogen in binding to cell
receptors, reducing the amount of estrogen in the body and
hindering the ability of cancers to grow. The most common
types of breast cancer depend on estrogen to grow, Shu said.

The researchers said the results eased previous concern that
isoflavones might interfere with tamoxifen, a cancer drug
designed to block estrogen. The study found higher soy food
consumption was beneficial regardless of whether a patient
    was taking tamoxifen, she said.

The researchers analyzed data from women in the Shanghai
Breast Cancer Survival Study in China. The women had been
diagnosed with breast cancer from March 2002 to April 2006.
They were followed for an average of four years through June
    2009.

At that time, there were 444 total deaths and 534 breast
cancer recurrences or breast cancer-related deaths among
    5,033 women in the study.

    Death Rate Lower

The four-year mortality rate was 7.4 percent for women with
the highest consumption of soy protein compared with 10.3
percent for those with the lowest intake. The four-year
breast cancer recurrence rates were 8 percent for those in
the highest soy group and 11.2 percent for those in the
    lowest group, the researchers found.

Eating soy food that is the equivalent to 11 grams
(0.39 ounces) of soy protein or 40 milligrams of soy
isoflavone a day was enough to see a benefit, Shu said.
In the study, the women consumed an average of 47
milligrams a day of isoflavone compared with the average
U.S. intake of 1 milligram to 6 milligrams a day, the
    researchers said.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommends people
consume 25 grams of soy protein a day, which contains
about 50 milligrams of isoflavone, as part of a diet low
in saturated fat and cholesterol that may help reduce the
risk of heart disease. One cup of fortified soy milk
contains 10 grams of soy protein, or 43 milligrams of
isoflavone, while a half cup of a firm soybean patty
called tempeh contains 16 grams, or 53 milligrams of
isoflavone. A half-cup of tofu or about 1.5 cups of edamame,
a green vegetable, also each contain 10 grams of soy protein.

    Survival Benefits

Other ingredients in soy foods including folate, protein,
calcium or fiber may also be responsible for the survival
    benefits, Shu said.

More soy foods are consumed in China than in the U.S.,
according to an editorial written in the same journal by
Rachel Ballard-Barbash at the National Cancer Institute
in Bethesda, Maryland, and Marian Neuhouser at the Fred
Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.

Ballard-Barbash and Neuhouser said most soy in the U.S.
is consumed through supplements and processed foods,
including meat substitutes made with soy, that may contain
lower amounts of isoflavones. Future studies should look at
whether isoflavone supplements have similar results as those
seen with soy food, Shu said.

More studies are needed in larger numbers of people among
more diverse populations to fully understand the effects of
soy on breast cancer survivors, Ballard-Barbash and Neuhouser
    wrote.

“In the meantime, clinicians can advise their patients with
breast cancer that soy foods are safe to eat and that these
foods may offer some protective benefit for long-term health,”
they wrote. “Patients with breast cancer can be assured that
enjoying a soy latte or indulging in a pad thai with tofu
causes no harm and, when consumed in plentiful amounts, may
    reduce risk of disease recurrence.”

300+ incidents of “Out-of-Body Experience” that began at age 10

Every now and then you hear a story that completely blows your mind, and far exceeds your expectations about what is possible within the realm of the human experience... Cory’s story is like no other, and he presents his message in a way that people can relate to and really connect with. It only takes a moment with Cory to feel the energy and light he has brought back with him. At the age of ten, Cory Herter had his first “Out-of-Body Experience” as the result of a nearly fatal car accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury, and severe memory loss. He could not remember anything from before the car accident, and could not personally recall any memories beyond 5 days. In addition to the memory loss, Cory continued to struggle with depression, seizures, schizophrenia, anxiety, and more, as he tried to live a somewhat normal life. If that was not enough, Cory’s brain began overproducing a special neurotransmitter called Di-methyltriptamine, or DMT for short. DMT is a naturally occurring hallucinogenic substance produced in the pineal gland and is directly responsible for near-death experiences, or NDE’s. This chemical would release in Cory’s brain every five days, inducing a type of near-death experience that would last from 4-12 hours, with the longest one lasting over 4 days. Cory’s ”journey through the afterlife” consisted of 300+ incidents of near death experiences, and over 1000 hours spent on the other side. When in this incredible state, he was infused with spiritual energy, and lifted into states of consciousness and awareness that far outreach even the grandest imagination. While on the other side, Cory was exposed to extremely high energy states, which consequently began revealing high energy Physics and Advanced Sciences. Before his journey through the afterlife finished, Cory was taught how to build a technology that would eventually heal his brain and restore his memory, 14 years after having lost it.

    Choose Love

    What We Are Made of

Love is often presented as the opposite of fear, but true
love is not opposite anything. True love is far more
powerful than any negative emotions, as it is the
environment in which all things arise. Negative emotions
are like sharks swimming in the ocean of love. All things
beautiful and fearful, ugly and kind, powerful and small,
come into existence, do their thing, and disappear within
the context of this great ocean. At the same time, they are
made of the very love in which they swim and can never be
separated. We are made of this love and live our whole lives
at one with it, whether we know it or not.

It is only the illusion that we are separate from this great
love that causes us to believe that choosing anything other
than love makes sense or is even possible. In the relative,
dualistic world of positive and negative, darkness and light,
male and female, we make choices and we learn from them. This
is exactly what we are meant to be doing here on earth.
Underlying these relative choices, though, is the choice to
be conscious of what we are, which is love, or to be
unconscious of it. When we choose to be conscious of it, we
choose love. We will still exist in the relative world of
opposites and choices and cause and effect, and we will need
to make our way here, but doing so with an awareness that we
are all made of this love will enable us to be more playful,
more joyful, more loving and wise, as we make our way.
Ultimately, the choices we make will shed light on the love
that makes us all one, enabling those who have forgotten to
    return to the source.

This world makes it easy to forget this great love, which is
part of why we are here. We are here to remember and, when we
forget to remember again, to choose love.

In her mandala art workshops, students work with professional art materials as they tap into their own creative process. Audrey is a graduate student studying to become a licensed counseling therapist. Her vision is to integrate her spiritual work with traditional therapy and expressive modalities such as art therapy, psychotherapy and dance therapy.
