  L.C.G.H. Updates
  Doing our best to keep this going as a monthly thing!
  
  The Group-
  
  * Things are starting to tighten up with everything we are doing together! Feels good to actually have a forming entity. One of our new members, James Alva, has really helped out on the moderation of the Yahoo Groups! Its are the base of operations since 2002 and its more of a resource site with Text and Audio Files, Links, Posts that are user generated . So please add and or check out all of the content that has been archived there. James, I and others are doing our best to keep it updated and organized until we get that polished ".com" up and going.
  
  * New Member Derek, John, Sooley, Todd and I have recently visited Bong Recreational Park based on the claims of Paranormal, Occult and UFO activity that has been reported there through different sites and sources. Even underground tunnels have been noted. We are not totally sure as to what are the specific areas of interest. But, based off what we had found on the internet and reports from Mary Sutherland's site, we have singled it down to the North East corner of the property. Nothing was found on our visit. More research needs to be done and we decided that a camp out and adventure into certain areas are needed at a later date. Full blog and pictures will be up soon.

  * Saturday September 26, 2009 Members of LCGH and groups Affiliated with Joliet Paranormal Society will be attending a private Paranormal BBQ and possible visit to an "Old Haunt" in Chicago.  It is also to connect either way for the short comings of Chautuaqua Conference. But, this for sure will be a fun time!

  The Article Contest-
  
  *Thanks to Alex Rondini of Phantom Magazine, members of LCGH will be attending the American Paranormal Conference. This became, cause of an idea I had when I was planning some things for the Chautauqua Conference. Since we are not a fashionable group with all the "gizmos and gadgets", and all we have really is our perspective, I wanted to offer a little more at the Conference! So, I decided to offer a subscription to Phantom Magazine Online. Threw the idea to Alex, and He loved it! So, here are the current  "Terms and Conditions" to our little Article Contest-
  
  - You can write on any topic under the category of "Paranormal". For example, Phantom Magazine Online is geared to the philosophical perspective on paranormal research. I personally have written a piece that was actually in response to another which, talked about the ideas of "Paranormal Unity"!  I wrote about "Unity" and dabbled into how "Quantum Mechanics" will bring us to that point! More will come from me in the future.

  * Friday October 9, 2009- Members of LCGH will be attending the American Paranormal Conference in Fort Wayne, IN. I personally have never attended such a thing so this will be a first for me. This is more just for observational purposes and to film the event so others can get a chance to check it out later on! Hope to see many internet friends at this gig!

  * Saturday October 31, 2009 Members of LCGH and The Band Loki's List will be at the Four Coynes located in Round Lake, IL! There will be a Costume Contest, Music, Stories and Drinking! So, this will be a great way to Party!
  
  * We are still continuing our investigation into Burlington, Wis based off the claims of Mary Sutherland. Full blog has been in progress. As well as some previous cases such as "The Haunted Silo" near Barrington, IL and another closely local place that has been more interesting as of recently.   * Here at L.C.G.H. we work more on the grass roots level and really use the site as more of a resource database. At least thats what I try to push. This is just a platform we have been using since 2002 and soon there will be an official site. But, its been up and running for a while. So, check it out when you get a chance, I am personally trying to update it on a weekly bases. It has been organized for your viewing pleasure! And you can add to the collective yourself. There are pics, audio (located in the files section) and tons of links for your research itch! Its always growing with information. All I ask is to organize your contribution as shown on the groups site, so its easier for others to navigate.

  Hey, if you ain't huntin' you should be gathering as much information as possible to propel the research aspect of the community. This should be enough info to get your feet wet! So, take some time and check it out. If you have any info about anything that would help our research, please get a hold of us. We are always looking for help in so many ways. Let us know what you can do! As you can see, research is the main focus for our group, thats something to note about us. We ain't perfect. But, we need a base.
