Culture and Politics Today with Laura Echevarria  

Well, I did a test show and survived. There were several problems--first, I nearly forgot that I had scheduled the test for today. I realized that just as in traditional radio, you need to be in front of the mic at least five minutes before you start. Also, using a phone to do the show feels unnatural to me because I worked in live radio for a few years so I'll have to figure that one out.

And the topper: you can't really hear me because even at 50 percent volume, my music was too loud and I had difficulty figuring out how to fade it out. I reloaded my music at 25 percent volume which will help.

Still a few kinks in how I'm doing this but I hope to get this straightened out this weekend.
