She co-authored the book "The Latino Education Crisis: The Consequences of Failed Social Policies", Harvard University Press, 2009 Christina Diaz, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA. She is currently working as a systems engineer on Mars 2020, the new Mars rover. Her passions are space exploration and STEM based K-12 outreach. Belinda Faustinos was appointed as the Executive Officer of the San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (Rivers and Mountains Conservancy) in June of 2002. Luivette Resto was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico but proudly raised in the Bronx. She earned her bachelors in English Literature from Cornell University in 1999 and later her M.F.A. in Creative Writing, Poetry in 2003 from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst Program for Poets and Writers. Her first book of poetry Unfinished Portrait was published in 2008 by Tia Chucha Press
