Dr. Andrés Quetzalcóatl Guerrero, author "A Chicano Theology".  First Chicano to graduate Harvard Divinity School, Doctorate in Applied Theology

The birth place in El Alacran at the tail of the scorpion which was Second Ward in Houston, Texas was a prophetic place to be born and raised from 1943 to 1951.  Who would have believed that anything good could have come from there, where no one except the people living there would have known or cared whether you lived or not. The living conditions were difficult and hard.  Charles Dickens would have written about it, as the opposite of River Oaks in Houston. Hardly anyone in El Alacran would have known how to spell poverty. Poverty was lived, not spelled.
