Guest: Erika Andiola

On January 10, 2013 Erika Andiola's house was the subject of a raid by ICE that should have never happened by ICE's own admission. Erika Andiola is a nationally known activist, she is well known and well respected. This was clearly evidenced when as soon as her call for help went out, WE all dropped what we were doing to be there for her and her family. As a result of the raid both her mother and brother were taken by ICE, but they were both release in less than 24 hours thanks to national pressure and calls all the way to the White House. Erika joins us today to share her amazing story and to continue with her message of peace and hope for a comprehensive immigration reform that is long overdue.

Sergio believes her story is not only inspirational, but also a testament of the realities undocumented people in this country are subject to day in and day out. People are continuing to get deported even after deferred action and even after Hispanics overwhelmingly favored president Obama.
