One Saturday morning after O’Neil and his family finished breakfast, his mom said, “O’Neil today is your day to catch this evenings dinner” the minute she said that O’Neil knew he would have to go out and catch a wild chicken. The family was starting to understand how to live off the land. O’Neil looked on his mom and said, “I won’t let you down mom” as he looked at her with his jughead looking face. O’Neil knew it would not be easy, but he was quick and always believing he could out run a chicken. As O’Neil and his brothers went to steal plum from the neighbor’s plum tree, he saw the juicy looking wild chicken walking around picking on earth worms. He quickly gathered plum with his brother and went home to get ready to catch that very chicken. O’Neil mom was cleaning and saw him as he walks into the house “you catch dinner yet?” ask his mom, O’Neil looked at her and said “no mom, I’m about to right now”. O’Neil put his track and field shorts on and set to the back of the house. The chicken was in plain sight and O’Neil figure it would be a walk in the park, “like talking a candy from a baby” he said. As O’Neil ran towards the chicken and dive for the catch, the chicken pick itself up from the ground and start running towards the bushes, “oh no!
