A young talented boy, whose ears acquired a taste for Jazz and Oldies Music, was always told he had an old soul. Rico Maatre went on to graduate from one of Chicago’s Top Performing Arts Schools. While leading as a Drum Major of the Marching Band, 1st Chair Clarinet in the Concert Band, and Tenor Sax player in the Jazz Band, his love for music grew in many other genres. From there he went on to join the U.S. Army. This caused a pause in his music journey. After the military he rekindled that flame for music. Throughout his years of hard work and determination, Rico Maatre became the extraordinary musician you now hear today. expand
