A STORY TO TELL!!

Grace & Peace,I'm Lady Purvis. I love to listen to the heart of others and hear their story. Tonight, I have the honors of interviewing Ms. Hilda Neal who worked her way up the ranks at Alaska Airlines. Starting out as a Customer Service Agent, to going to school in the Aviation Industry, graduating with the highest GPA in her class and being the only female in her class. Hilda was promoted and transfered to Seattle thus becoming the 1st female supervisor in Maintenance for the entire Company. The majority of the employees based at the largest station and Hub of Seattle are white. Coming to the department as the 1st Black Female Supervisor was the last thing that they wanted or expected. Hilda continued building a working relationship with her employees inspite of. Hilda went back to her roots and accepted a position about 2 1/2 years ago as Operations Manager at the Seattle Station in the Department of Transportaion. Her department has been awarded as Leader for On Time Performance for 2 years straight. And they have been number one above all of their compeditors for 20 straight Months in a row! Alaska Airlines is constantly growing and expanding their service. The time has come for us as a nation of people to step out and reach out with extended hands to help ourselves, to help our people and anyone else who truly desires change. It comes by "renewing your mind". Like Hilda, taking that huge leap of faith and daring to be different and not allowing anyone to hinder her walk to her God given destiny. Hilda, has a STORY TO TELL.
