Alicia suffered three strokes in a years’ time frame, as well as bouts of depression and spousal abuse, albeit mental. It was after one of her strokes when doctors informed her that she was borderline Diabetic and that a drastic change in her eating habits and lifestyle were imperative to her continuing to live. It was after hearing that dreadful report that Alicia was motivated by the fear of not being able to see her children grow up that she changed her life forever. She would go on to change her diet to a strict regiment as well as add exercising daily to her daily lifestyle.
