"The word "SLAVE" comes from "slav", referencing the white Slavic area of Eastern Europe. White slavery and indentured servitude was commonplace throughout the British Empire all throughout history. Those academics who insist that slavery is an exclusively Black racial condition forget or deliberately omit the fact that the word slave originally was a reference to: Whites of East European origin - "Slavs." The system set up for the white slaves governed, organized and controlled the system for the blacks enslaved.
- Blacks enslaved were “late comers fitted into a system already developed.” (Life and Labor in the Old South Pp 25-26). John Pory declared in 1619, “white slaves are our principle wealth.”
