Mike Manley, a third-year midfielder for Major League Lacrosse's Rochester Rattlers, discusses with Lacrosse Lounge host Phil Shore (Lacrosse Magazine, New England Lacrosse Journal) what it's like t be a professional lacrosse player and how the 2014 Rochester Rattlers season is going.

The Rochester Rattlers came into the 2014 MLL season with very low expectations yet have stormed to the top of the standings. After 10 games, the Rattlers are tied for first place in the league. A big reason for that success is Manley. He's a physical presence down low and has developed an offensive side to his game as well, scoring six goals (two two-pointers) and adding one assist. One coach went as far to call Manley, "the best defender in the world" right now.

What does Manley think about that label and what is the key behind the team's strong season?
