In this episode we talk about a book I am editing overnight with the help of my mates on Twitter. It is inspired by the under-representatation of people of color or what they represent and do within and at social media events like The Feast or #140Conf and innovation conferences like TED and TEDx events. I wasn't at #SXSW but perhaps a few callers can share their thoughts. The book is called The Audacity of Being Colored No More and its an offshoot of Seth Godin's What Matters Now free ebook and its followup What's Dying to Be Born dedicated to the women whose voices were underrepresented in Godin's book. This week's POSITION OF THE DAY - Nap Time (jul22) -- speaks on paying attention to what's happening in a college classroom and showing you care. After the Virginia Tech killings and the more recent tenure killing by a professor, higher ed needs to take a good look at who we are being to other human beings. Here's to peace in the Middle-East of NYC.
