Alan Sherwood, author of Successfully Unemployed, Finding or Creating Your Dream Job, was devastated, angry, hurt and confused when he was “downsized” not long after being promoted in a large company. Eventually, he came to view the loss of his job as a “divinely appointed” opportunity. He started two new companies, both of them successful, and now helps others who are searching for employment.
Sherwood says 17 million people are currently looking for work in the U.S. alone and he has ideas that can make a difference. He offers advice from interviewers and others who have turned job loss to their advantage. For example, he says 70 per cent of all hiring decisions are made before 11:00 am and 63 percent of all decisions are made within the first 4.3 minutes of an interview. He will share with us how job seekers can search, contact, dress for, and conduct an interview.
He will encourage us that God may well be a catalyst and open opportunities for what comes next. You won’t want to miss this program.
(We had a time glitch, so while Jeannie waited for her guest she read three inspsiring short stories from her book 101Stories of Answered Prayer. Enjoy those until Sherwood comes on for the last half hour.)
